Hi, I’m Ryan

About seven years ago I started a small web design / marketing company called Boom Street Media. The freedom of being able to work remotely from my laptop has since allowed me to live for short terms in SE Asia, Europe, Central America, and parts of the U.S.
Though it’s nice to be on beaches during Alberta’s somewhat less than tropical winters, I slowly began to realize how under-appreciated ‘home’ really is.
Western Canada has a unique combination of the worlds most laid back, kindest people while having some of the wildest summer festivals. On top of that we live in a true mecca for adventure sport with awe inspiring mountain ranges, powerful rivers, picturesque lakes, challenging golf courses, and beautiful beaches.  At the same time we boast a remarkable art scene, world class museums, and proud heritage sites.

Sadly much of what makes Western Canada so unique and amazing is overlooked. Travel shows will highlight a sushi restaurant in Vancouver, a panorama of Whistler, a hotel in Banff, an Alberta grain field and that’s about it. I’ve made it the goal of the Boom Bus tour to really show off the festivals, events, people, and hidden destinations that make us who we are.
